The driver allegedly responsible for killing a mother and her young son in a hit-and-run crash in Oakland last weekend remains on the loose. Oakland police believe 27-year-old Rasenoch Allen was behind the wheel of the Mercedes that struck and killed 30-year-old Alma Vasquez and her 6-year-old son, Angel Garcia, who were walking in a crosswalk at 26th Avenue and Foothill Boulevard Saturday night. The incident also left the child’s 20-year-old uncle in critical condition. Investigators allege that Allen fled the scene and ditched the Mercedes in another part of town, where it was discovered a short time later. A 25-thousand-dollar reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
