Scientists Analyzing Dead Bay Area Whales

Scientists are in the process of analyzing two dead whales that recently washed ashore in the Bay Area. Officials with The Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito say the investigation into the cause of why the whales died will take some time. In four other whale deaths this year, scientists say that plastic debris was not a cause. Some experts theorize that as the grey whale population increases, their food supply is becoming more scarce. Some whales observed in San Francisco Bay last month showed signs of malnourishment.
