San Diego Airport’s Innovation Lab is testing out a new way to give travelers a chance to get some shut eye. Officials are currently surveying airport employee reviews of a high tech sleeping pod. The pods would provide an alternative to napping in the airport seats or getting a hotel room during a long layover. The pod is one of five ideas the airport is considering as part of a 16-week business development program. All the products will be evaluated and those with high enough scores at the end of the 16-weeks will be offered contracts with the airport.
