Today marks the 25th anniversary of the O.J. Simpson murder case. On June 12th, 1994, the former NFL star’s ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, waiter Ron Goldman were brutally stabbed to death outside her home in the upscale Los Angeles neighborhood of Brentwood. LAPD spokesperson David Gascon briefed reporters about the hunt for Simpson.
Police arrested O.J. Simpson on June 17th, following a low-speed chase in a white Ford Bronco. An estimated 95 million viewers watched the pursuit live as TV stations broke into coverage of the 1994 NBA Finals to broadcast the event. Simpson later stood trial and was acquitted of all charges in the double murder in what was considered to be the trial of the century.
