Two Sonoma County sheriff’s deputies are okay after getting attacked by an inmate at the Sonoma County Jail. The sheriff’s office says the inmate lunged at a deputy with a toothbrush that had been filed down to a point Wednesday morning. The deputy blocked the inmate’s hand and shoved him away. The deputy suffered a large bruise to the side of his body, and another deputy who helped restrain the inmate complained of pain. Both deputies were treated at a hospital and released. The inmate now faces additional charges of attempted murder.
