Day seven of jury deliberations in the Ghost Ship trial is over and still no verdict. Yesterday, the jury of nine women and three men requested to hear transcripts of three testimonies from the trial. Statements by defendant Derick Almena as well as witnesses Ryan O’Keefe and Nico Bouchard were read back to the jury. Almena and Max Harris face 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter for their role in a warehouse fire in 2016. An attorney for Harris says the transcript request suggests the jury is more focused on Almena, while Almena’s lawyer says they are waiting on a verdict with “quiet desperation.”
