The current and past governors of California are putting their heads together to fight wildfires.  During a tour with Cal Fire Thursday, former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger said he’s happy to see California heading in a path that wasn’t an option while he was in office.

Governor Newsom is launching a campaign called Listos California, or Ready California, to boost disaster preparedness by engaging a statewide network of community organizations to prepare Californians for emergencies.  Newsom said he realized he needed to take swift action after 361 requests for air support last year were unable to be met because California didn’t have the tools.  The 2019-2020 budget included one-billion-dollars for emergency preparedness, response and recovery.
