Animal protection groups are suing California’s Fish and Game Commission over changes in hunting rules. Alexandra Monson, a litigation fellow with the Animal Legal Defense Fund, says new rules allowing hunters to use GPS tracking devices on their dogs are illegal and inhumane.
It’s the second time the Animal Legal Defense Fund is suing California’s Fish and Game Commission on the matter. The first lawsuit was filed in 2016 and dismissed when the commission revisited its decision. Officials with the Fish and Game Commission weren’t immediately available for comment.
