Kaiser To Name New Medical School After Late CEO

Kaiser Permanente will be naming its new medical school after late CEO Bernard J. Tyson. Dr. J. Humphrey, the chair of the school’s board of directors, made the announcement yesterday during his memorial service in Oakland. The Pasadena school will be known as the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine. It is scheduled to open in summer 2020 and will waive tuition for the first five years of classes.
