More Californians Are Getting Health Insurance

More Californians are signing up for health insurance. Officials say there has been an 16% increase from last year now that the state is offering more money to help people pay their monthly premiums. California will also begin taxing people next year who refuse to buy insurance. Over 130,000 people purchased health insurance through the state-run marketplace for the first time and more than a million people in California have renewed their plans for next year.
