Kaiser Permanente Partners Up To Address Employee Shortage

Kaiser Permanente is partnering with the SEIU to address an employee shortage in California. They’re launching a $130 million non-profit in hopes of graduating 10,000 new licensed and credentialed health care workers in the state over the next four years. Van Ton-Quinlivan says the organization known as Futuro Health will work with educational partners to help students build technical and people skills.

Futuro Health aims to support candidates through career exploration and coaching, education financing, and targeted teaching efforts aimed at job placement.
