Western Slope of Sierras Expecting Four To Eight Inches Of Snow

The Sierra snow pack is not quite as robust as it was just a month ago. The Department of Water Resources says the statewide snow pack sits at 80% of average for this time of year. One month ago, the statewide snow pack was 97% of average. Forecasters say more snow is on the way with another four-to-eight inches expected along the western slope of the Sierra this morning. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect above 3,500 feet until 10 a.m.
