A record fine could be coming for a luxury developer in Healdsburg. The North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board is recommending a fine of $4.9 million against Sonoma Luxury Resorts for continuous environmental violations. The development company, run by Robert Green Jr., is accused of discharging an estimated 6 millions gallons of highly turbid water into Foss Creek and other Russian River Tributaries from 258-acre Saggio Hills site. This comes after violations were observed on several inspections. A hearing is scheduled before the board on April 16th and 17th.
