Santa Rosa School board is closing Lawrence Cook Middle School.  By a 6-1 vote, the board approved merging Lawrence Cook Middle School with the Cesar Chavez Language Academy, a charter school which moved to the campus last fall. The reasons cited for the merger include declining enrollment and wanting to re-brand the school. The only no vote came from Jen Klose who wanted to determine new middle and high school boundaries before hand.
