Nothern California Assemblyman Wants Regional Approaches To State’s Homeless Issue

A Northern California lawmaker wants to take a regional approach to addressing the state’s homelessness problem. Assemblyman James Gallagher is introducing a bill that would allow service providers from adjacent counties to work together and share case information on those without shelter.

Gallagher believes AB 2174 would save money and improve government efficiency by preventing duplicated efforts. He thinks it will provide better care for the homeless and their families.
