Visitors to San Francisco International Airport can now appreciate the view from a new outdoor observation deck opening today. The SkyTerrace is located in Terminal 2 and offers 180-degree views of SFO’s busiest section where four of the airport’s runways meet. The nearly 15,000 square-foot deck will also feature an SFO exhibit that focuses on the airport’s history, as well as the architecture of the former international terminal. A cafe may open later this year as well. Visitors won’t need boarding passes to appreciate the views, but they will be required to go through the security checkpoint before being allowed out on the deck. SkyTerrace will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
