Three schools in Santa Rosa’s Roseland neighborhood were put on lock down Thursday afternoon after reports came in of a man with a firearm at a nearby intersection. Police received the call around 12:42 from a community member reporting a male subject with a possible firearm at the intersection of West Avenue and Liana Drive. Officers responded immediately searching for the subject and placing Sheppard Accelerated Elementary School on lock down. Two additional lock downs were triggered out of caution at Roseland Accelerated Middle School and Roseland University Prep. A search was conducted along with interviews but the alleged subject was not found. There was no indication the subject went to any of the schools but officers remained on the campuses until the end of the day.
