Santa Rosa Tot Take Legal Action Over Kincade Fire

The City of Santa Rosa is preparing to take legal action against PG&E in connection to last year’s devastating Kincade Fire. Vice Mayor Victoria Fleming tells The Press Democrat that the city plans to seek compensation from the utility to recover the costs of defending the city from the blaze. The Kincade Fire was the largest wildland fire in Sonoma County’s history and cost the city of Santa Rosa more than $700,000 so far. Most of that money was used to fund overtime pay for firefighters.
