Last night, a second Sonoma County resident was confirmed to have the coronavirus from community spread. It was the second case in as many days not associated with those at high risk. Public Health Officer Dr. Sundari Mase says this changes things for the county:
There is little information about the 2nd patient to be diagnosed. The first was an employee at the Rohnert Park Health Center. Dr. Newit Licht is the Chief Medical Officer that oversees the center:
Dr. Licht says the site in Rohnert Park will be closed today for a thorough sanatizing. Representatives for the Rohnert Park Health Center say they don’t believe it came from their facility. Both of those infected will place themselves in 14 day quarantine. We asked Public Health Officer Dr. Sundari Mase about expanded testing:
