Sonoma County Health Officials Creating COVID-19 Tracking Unit

Sonoma County Health Officials are putting together a team to investigate and track coronavirus patients. This is to get a better understanding of how people got the virus, where they are and identify if there might be more cases. Yesterday, Public Health Officer Dr. Sundari Mase said a team will be put together and trained this weekend by someone who’s an expert in tracking tuberculosis outbreaks. Their work will involve tracking down the family members, friends and coworkers of all of Sonoma County’s 49 coronavirus patients to see if they’re sick too. Officials don’t know how about 30% of the people diagnosed in the county got infected.
