Southwest Airlines Cutting 1,500 Daily Flights

Southwest Airlines is cutting 1,500 daily flights as the coronavirus slashes demand for air travel. The cut taking effect today is a nearly 40% reduction in flights for the nation’s biggest domestic carrier. Airlines are making big changes in their food, drink, and seating policies to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus. American will now offer limited food and beverage options to increase social distancing and minimize contact between flight attendants and passengers.
