California Could Add Extra Funds To EBT Cards

Californians on food stamps might see extra funds on their EBT cards soon. The California Association of Food Banks says people on CalFresh who are not getting the maximum benefit amount for their household could see a boost in their benefits. For example, the organization explains a three-person household receiving $200 per month could get a boost of $309 to match the maximum benefit for three, which is just over $500. Californians who got CalFresh in March should’ve seen the extra benefits yesterday, while those who got it in April should get it on May 10th.
