California lawmakers and other elected officials won’t be getting a pay raise in the coming year. The California Citizens Compensation Commission voted yesterday to keep officials’ pay flat for the fiscal year beginning July 1st. The commission even encouraged lawmakers to take a voluntary pay cut. Governor Newsom also plans to take a 10%pay cut. The vote follows Newsom’s proposals to reduce pay by 10% for state workers.
