California Voters To Decide Upon Proposed Constitutional Amendment

California voters will decide in November whether to expand the vote to some 17-year-olds. The proposed constitutional amendment would allow 17-year-olds to vote in primary or special elections if they will turn 18 by the date of the general elections. Assemblyman Kevin Mullin, who authored the bill, said it will amplify the voices of young voters by allowing them to participate in the full election process.
