The president of a local business group is resigning over a letter penned last week regarding race and protests. Sonoma County Alliance President Doug Hilberman has resigned after penning a letter using the phrase “All Lives Matter” and criticizing vandalism of downtown businesses during Black Lives Matter Protest. Hilberman, who is also president of Santa Rosa-based AXIA Architects, tells the Press Democrat that he got it “horribly wrong” with the letter and didn’t mean to cause harm to the community.
