Solano is now among Bay Area counties under extra state scrutiny over the coronavirus, which could lead to economic rollbacks. Both cases and hospitalizations are rising, especially among farm workers who are employed by Napa and Sonoma counties vineyards but live in Solano County. Health officials say many cases have also been traced back to weekend social gatherings. State officials are urging the hiring of more interpreters to educate farm workers on social distancing and other health guidelines. Santa Clara and Contra Costa counties were already on the watch list and Contra Costa has canceled its plan to allow bars to reopen tomorrow.
