Governor Newsom Signs New Bill That Grants State Authority To Hold PG&E Accountable

Governor Newsom has signed a bill that gives California the authority to hold PG&E accountable if the company fails to follow public safety policies and protect its customers. Newsom said that Californians need to have confidence that their utility is focused on customer safety. He signed the bill yesterday. Today, PG&E is expected to conclude the bankruptcy case it filed in January 2019.
