Thousands Of Undocumented Workers Have Received Millions In Coronavirus Aid

Thousands of undocumented workers in California have received millions in coronavirus aid. State officials announced California approved over 100,000 applications from undocumented workers yesterday morning and distributed over $40 million. Tuesday was the deadline to apply for a one-time payment of $500 per person or $1,500 per household from the $125 million disaster relief fund announced by Governor Newsom in April. Twelve nonprofit organizations across the state are finalizing the remaining applications and distributing the prepaid cards.
