Mendocino County Sheriff Deputies Arrest Parolee After Six Hour Standoff

A parolee evading Mendocino County Sheriff Deputies was arrested after a six hour standoff. 50-year-old Marc Lucas originally evaded deputies on July 17th getting away in his truck from an unspecified traffic violation. This past Saturday, deputies spotted Lucas in Albion and managed to get him to stop his truck but Lucas threatened deputies with an assault rifle which later turned out to be an air-powered pellet rifle. Hours later after Lucas had doused himself and the inside of the truck with gasoline, officials decided to use a fire hose which forced Lucas out of the vehicle. He was charged with multiple felonies including felony evading and threatening a peace officer.
