Roughly 100 Parents And Students Gathered At Courthouse Square To Advocate For Reopening Schools

Community members are speaking out for schools to reopen. The Press Democrat reports that about 100 parents and students gathered in Courthouse Square Thursday evening advocating for the reopening of schools and in person classes. Advocates argued that schools are an essential business and they should be given the option of in-person classes and distance learning. Due to COVID, Sonoma County remains in the state’s purple tier meaning schools, public or private, cannot reopen unless they receive a waiver, something which the county’s health department started reviewing for yesterday.
