State Senator Bill Dodd is defending his participation is a conference in Hawaii. Talking to the Press Democrat, Senator Dodd admitted it doesn’t look good but claimed it was “Business as usual” attending the Independent Voter Project in Maui. With the discussion being around safely reopening the economy and the tourism sector, Senator Dodd called it a “Good learning experience”. The trip comes as a surge in COVID-19 cases is gripping the state forcing several counties into the most restrictive tier, purple, including Senator Dodd’s Napa county.
