A special meeting will take place tonight between the Board of Trustees of the the West Sonoma County Union High School District. The subject: Possible consolidation of El Molino and Analy High Schools. Budget shortfalls and declining enrollment have led staff to look for ways to avoid a projected budget shortfall by the 2022-23 school year. The possibility of consolidating El Molino and Analy has become one of the most viable options. However, Fifth District Supervisor Lynda Hopkins and Sonoma County staff will present the proposed West County Transient Occupancy Tax tonight as a way to provide bridge funding for the district.
