California is in the midst of an “unprecedented” surge in coronavirus cases. That’s the word Governor Gavin Newsom said yesterday when he gave an update on the coronavirus. He said that the state has averaged nearly 12,000 new cases per day over the last seven days. That’s a level California hasn’t seen since the pandemic started. He went on to say that hospitalizations have spiked by over 75% over the past 14 days.
