National Weather Service Expecting Wind Event Later This Weekend

A strong wind event is coming late this weekend. Starting Sunday evening going through Monday, The National Weather Service is expecting northeast wind speeds to be between 15-20 mph with gusts up to 55 mph in higher elevations. While there is elevated risk for wildfire, Gerry Diaz with the National Weather Service doesn’t anticipate a Fire Weather Watch or Red Flag Warning.
Still, Diaz urges caution during this event, especially for drivers.
