High winds and dry conditions may prompt PG&E to shut off power starting tonight. The utility notified roughly 21,000 customers in parts of nine counties of the potential shutoff. However, PG&E has since reduced the potential number of affected counties down to 5: Fresno, Kern, Madera, Mariposa, and Tulare. Sonoma County was never considered for the PSPS event but are included in the high wind watch. The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning from 4 PM today until 6pm tomorrow.
