Three Bay Area counties are poised to ease more COVID restrictions. San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin could advance from the purple to the red tier as soon as this week, based on their falling community infection rates. Among other things, that would allow restaurants to serve indoors at 25% capacity. Governor Newsom said yesterday several California counties are on track to advance soon. The official decision is expected later today.
