The Sonoma Land Trust is set to acquire the 200-acre Fitzsimmons Ranch later this month. The land purchase by the trust will expand the 2,000-acre Hood Mountain Regional Park and Open Space Preserve. The ranch itself is located inside the park and is part of the Mayacamas Mountains. The Board of Supervisors previously accepted the Land Trust’s donation of Fitzsimmons Ranch to Regional Parks in mid March. The $1.13 million sale will close escrow on April 20th.
