A Petaluma man has been arrested after trying to steal a vehicle from a tow yard. Petaluma Police were called to the yard Sunday shortly after 12pm where they received reports of a man scaling a barb wired fence and trespassing. Officers secured the perimeter and, after locating and negotiating with the subject, arrested 27-year-old transient Logan Reece. Police allege that he took a vehicle from the lot and rammed the front gate trying to open it. The gate suffered severe damage but did not open fully to allow Reece to escape.
