Protestors at Santa Rosa Junior College are demanding Sheriff Mark Essick resign.
In response to allegations of bullying, nearly 50 protestors gathered Saturday afternoon in front of the JC demanding his resignation or that he not run for reelection in 2022. The group said that Sheriff Essick has tried to “bully and intimidate or diminish” vocal critics, referring to recent allegations of bullying towards Supervisor and Chairwoman Lynda Hopkins. Essick has sued to keep the investigation into those allegations sealed.
