One man faces charges after a deadly DUI crash in north Petaluma. The crash happened late Saturday night off of Stony Point Road according to officials. Austin Matsler-David was driving south when police say he crossed the center line and crashed into an oncoming Ford. The driver of the Ford was ejected from his vehicle and was pronounced dead. Matsler-David’s car went over a barrier and landed in Lichau Creek. Police say they noticed the smell of alcohol, and Matsler-David was arrested after being released from the hospital yesterday morning.
