Santa Rosa officials say a man was arrested after an explosion happened near Coddingtown Mall. Officers were sent to the shopping plaza parking lot yesterday after the explosion and found a man who was burned. Officials say the suspect, later identified as Michael Crawford, mishandled canisters of butane in his car, causing the explosion. All nearby vehicles were damaged, and Crawford was the only injury reported. Officers believe Crawford bought several butane cans to extract oil from marijuana. Officials say meth was found in the car as well, and Crawford was booked into jail on numerous charges.
