Health care officials say there’s reluctance among some of the LatinX community in Sonoma County to get a coronavirus vaccination. Officials announced yesterday that the county will hold its first Spanish-language town hall tomorrow, Wednesday, April 21. It will be a virtual town hall that will begin at 5 p.m., and officials confirmed that English translation will be available as well.

In the meantime, a vaccination clinic will open in the City of Sonoma this Sunday to serve LatinX residents. The clinic is located at La Luz Center, and it will administer up to 200 vaccine doses per day by appointment only. The location will operate from 1 to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. The clinic was made possible thanks to county officials, Sonoma Valley Community Health Center, and Sonoma Valley Hospital.
