A Rohnert Park man has been arrested on suspicion of violating probation by possessing a handgun. On Monday night, after a business owner reported a suspicious person loitering on Santa Rosa Avenue, Sonoma County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a search of 29-year-old Nicholas Hebein’s vehicle and found a loaded 9mm gun inside. Deputies also found a pair of brass knuckles and drug paraphernalia, including two glass pipes used to smoke methamphetamine. It’s the second time that Hebein has been arrested on a gun charge. The first incident occurred back in October of last year.
