About half of the adult population in Sonoma County is now fully vaccinated. On Wednesday, county officials announced that 204,615 – or 50% of those eligible for a shot – have been fully vaccinated. Along with that, about 67% of the population have received at least one dose. While praising the achievement, Supervisor and Chair of the Board Lynda Hopkins says “it is still too early to declare ‘Mission Accomplished.’” Health officials want to fully vaccinate 75 to 80% of the adult population which health experts believe would achieve Herd Immunity.
