A man from Petaluma will serve time behind bars for sex crimes committed against a young girl. Benjamin Meza-Perez was sentenced to 18 years in prison after he pleaded no contest to lewd acts with a minor under 14 and one count of dissuading a witness. The charges stem from an investigation that started in September of last year. Officials learned that Meza-Perez had been sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl until she was 16.
