Three deputies involved in the violent arrest of a Graton man in April of 2020 were in fact disciplined.

A records release to the Press Democrat shows that Sergeant Brian Parks, and Deputies Nicholas Miller and Jeremy Jucutan were all disciplined after the controversial arrest of Jason Anglero-Wyrick. However, details of the discipline remain confidential due to peace officer rights. Each of the officers continue to work for the Sheriff’s department. An internal review found that Jucutan, who was the K-9 handler for the arrest, did not follow department rules regarding getting his K-9 companion to release his bite from Anglero-Wyrick’s leg after he was no longer a threat. Sergeant Parks and Deputy Miller were faulted for not correctly using their body-worn cameras during the incident.
