The California Highway Patrol says a chain reaction crash left one woman dead and others injured. The crash happened at Old Adobe Road in Lakeville yesterday, when a pickup truck rear-ended another pickup and sent it into oncoming traffic. The pickup that was rear-ended then crashed head on into a Chevrolet Volt. The driver of the pickup and the Volt were both airlifted to the hospital with major injuries. The passenger in the Volt died at the scene. The driver of the pickup that rear-ended the other truck suffered minor injuries. The CHP had Old Adobe Road closed until about 8 p.m.
