PG&E is pledging to bury ten thousand miles of power lines. CEO Patricia Poppe made the announcement in Chico, stating the program will be one of the largest infrastructure projects in the state. Pacific Gas and Electric told regulators earlier this week its equipment may have started the Dixie Fire, which has now burned more than 91-thousand acres in Butte and Plumas Counties. Poppe said there are eight-million trees within range of hitting PG&E power lines.
