California’s Dixie Fire is 75% contained, with more than 960-thousand acres burned. U.S. Forest Service officials say there are still 2400 fire personnel assigned to the fire zone. The Lassen National Forest and the National Park Service have taken the lead in fire suppression efforts. The massive blaze started two months ago in northern California’s Butte County. It has since burned to the north and east into Plumas, Lassen, Shasta and Tehama counties.
