Indoor mask mandates may be lifted in Sonoma County for groups of people that are vaccinated. During yesterday’s Board of Supervisors meeting, Health Officer Dr. Sundari Mase said that the indoor masking rule could be changed to exempt “stable cohorts of fully vaccinated individuals.” That would include offices and other workplaces, religious groups, and college classes. It would not apply to places open to the general public and not to groups of more than 100. The employer, host or group organizer must make sure that all individuals are vaccinated, as well as maintain a list of people present and control access to the group. Dr. Mase says that she hopes to issue the exemption by the end of the week.
